PaymentHub Residuals Direct Deposit FAQ
Direct deposit of residuals is now available. Read this FAQ to learn how it works and how to register.
-
What is Direct Deposit?
The Guild’s Direct Deposit is a process whereby your residuals checks are electronically deposited to your bank account. Instead of receiving paper checks and depositing them at your bank, these checks will be deposited to your bank electronically.
-
How does it work?
The Guild has partnered with a third-party company that will process residuals checks. Their tool is called PaymentHub. Members register with this company (instructions below) to authorize checks to be routed to their bank accounts. It is not always faster, but it is more convenient.
-
Who is eligible for direct deposit?
Presently it is only available to Current Active WGAW members. This will be extended to WGAE members in the near future.
-
How do I sign up for direct deposit?
You can sign up for direct deposit in myWGA. From the myWGA homepage, click on Residuals payees and deposits, then select Click here to register at PaymentHub for direct deposit setup. This will take you to the secure PaymentHub portal where you can register for direct deposit and set up bank account routing.
-
I live internationally, can I have my checks deposited to a bank account outside the U.S.?
Yes.
-
How long will it take the money to hit my account?
For domestic transactions, please allow seven days from the time you see the check listed on myWGA. For international, please allow 10 days.
-
Can I register a Venmo account or some other type of account for direct deposit?
No, only traditional bank accounts.
-
Can I set up direct deposit for my loan out?
Yes! You’ll need to separately register your loan out(s). For example, if you receive some checks payable to you as an individual and some checks payable to your loan out, you’ll have to register both your loan out company and yourself as an individual and attach banking information to each. If you have further questions about setting up your loan out for direct deposit, please contact the PaymentHub support desk: support@exactuals.com.
-
I received an error message: “User Token Has Expired.”
First, make sure that you are trying to register through myWGA and not the PaymentHub website directly. Then refresh your browser. If the problem persists, please contact the PaymentHub support desk: support@exactuals.com.
-
Can my manager see my info?
At this time, writers cannot add additional users to their accounts.
-
How do I see my paystubs?
The PaymentHub user portal scans all checks and stubs. There are PDFs available for every check on the website.
-
Will I get notified of a completed direct deposit?
Yes, PaymentHub will email you when a direct deposit has been made to your account.
-
Can I see direct deposit payments on the Residuals Lookup on myWGA?
Yes, your payment information is still available on the Residuals Lookup on myWGA. The lookup page hasn’t changed and will look the same whether you’ve signed up for direct deposit or not.
-
Does direct deposit cost anything?
