WGAW Announces 2021 Officers and Board of Directors Election Results
Los Angeles - Writers Guild of America West today announced the results of its 2021 Officers and Board of Directors election.
The following members were elected to serve as officers: President – Meredith Stiehm; Vice President – Michele Mulroney; Secretary-Treasurer – Betsy Thomas.
The following eight members were elected to the WGAW’s Board of Directors for two-year terms, effective immediately: Liz Alper (inc.), Nicole Yorkin (inc.), Zoe Marshall (inc.), Marjorie David, Dante W. Harper (inc.), Dailyn Rodriguez, Robb Chavis (inc.), Adam Conover.
Note: (inc.) denotes incumbent.
The ninth finisher, E. Nicholas Mariani, was elected for a one-year term on the Board of Directors to fill the vacancy created by Betsy Thomas’ election as Secretary-Treasurer.
“It is an honor to serve the membership as WGAW President,” said Meredith Stiehm. “I look forward to working with Michele, Betsy, and the Board of Directors to advance an agenda that builds on the progress our union has made for writers and addresses the challenges we face in our creative and economic lives.”

President: Meredith Stiehm (2,674).
Vice President: Michele Mulroney (2,686).
Secretary-Treasurer: Betsy Thomas (2,701).
Board of Directors: Liz Alper (2101), Nicole Yorkin (1768), Zoe Marshall (1717), Marjorie David (1634), Dante W. Harper (1609), Dailyn Rodriguez (1551), Robb Chavis (1448), Adam Conover (1379), E. Nicholas Mariani (1246), David H. Steinberg (874), Daniel Kunka (864), John Rogers (622), Alvaro Rodriguez (522), David DiGilio (490), Gregory Bonsignore (490), Aaron Weiner (378), David Renaud (326), Billy Domineau (277).
Write-in votes are not included in the totals and not every ballot contained votes for every office.
A total of 2,975 valid ballots were cast. The ballot count was supervised by Votenet Solutions.
