How would they react? Charlie Kaufman’s narrative, winner of the 2005 Writers Guild Award for Original Screenplay, is structurally ingenious in fashioning the story of romantic love and the evolution of a relationship as a metaphysical, tragic-comic journey about love, loss, time, and a memory-erasing company called Lacuna.
